Represented an injured worker who was employed as a teacher. The injured worker sustained a severe aggravation of a pre-existing injury that caused her debilitating pain. She was forced to leave her job due to her back pain. We were able to obtain a lump sum settlement of $185,000 and included protective language in the agreement that limited her offset for SSDI and Medicare. The client has since been approved for SSDI and benefits from the protections included as part of the settlement.
