Represented an injured worker who sustained an injury to his shoulder and thoracic injury. The directed care physician provided a rating of 16% whole person which would equate to approximately $76,000 in future benefits. We were able to achieve a result of approximately 45% in a lump sum settlement equating to $200,000. We entered into an agreement providing protective social security offset language allowing the injured worker to pursue SSDI and Medicare benefits with a minimal offset against his SSDI claim.
